Note

oakmoss

deep, close to the base.

Dark, damp, slightly bitter. The note that made chypres what they were before EU regulations restricted it in 2008. Now mostly replaced by oakmoss-coded synthetics. Reads as 'wet forest' or 'old library.' Heritage in a bottle.
