Note

oud

deep, full-bodied, close to the base.

Fermented agarwood. The resinous heartwood of an infected tree. Real oud is rare and expensive; what you smell in most affordable fragrances is a synthetic approximation. Done well, reads as deep, animalic, slightly medicinal. Done badly, BBQ smoke.
